About the Author:
Louise Doughty is an accomplished British author renowned for her richly woven narratives that encompass various genres, such as psychological thrillers, contemporary fiction, and radio dramas. Born in 1963 in the English county of Leicestershire, Doughty spent her early years in the East Midlands, where she developed a deep love for literature. She later attended Leeds University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. Fueled by her passion for storytelling, she continued her academic journey at the University of East Anglia, where she completed her master's degree in Creative Writing.
Her literary debut came in 1995 with the novel Crazy Paving, which was shortlisted for various awards and immediately established her as an engaging new voice in British literature. However, it was her sixth novel, Apple Tree Yard, published in 2013, that catapulted her to international acclaim.
