British Author Philip Reeve was born and raised in Brighton in 1966. Soon after school, he trained as an illustrator, and has since worked for many popular book series. His illustrations have graced books like the Horrible Histories and Murderous Maths books amongst several others.

Philip Reeves’ first novel, the epic Mortal Engines, was published in 2001. It went on to win the Smarties and Blue Peter prizes, and was adapted into a movie in 2018. Mortal Engines was followed by three sequels—Predator′s Gold, Infernal Devices, and A Darkling Plain and three prequels; Fever Crumb, A Web of Air, and Scrivener′s Moon. At Books2Door, we have made it a point to stock up on the most exciting works of Philip Reeve for the pre-teen and teens to enjoy.

Mortal Engines Quartet & Fever Crumb 7 Books Collection by Philip Reeve for children aged 9-14 years. Mortal Engines introduces young apprentice Tom Natsworthy and the murderous Hester Shaw flung from the fast-moving city of London into heart-stopping adventures in the wastelands of the Great Hunting Ground. Mortal Engines alongside six more equally nail-biting adventures; this set is perfect for readers who enjoy action-packed thrillers.

In 2013; Reeves joined forces with illustrator Sarah McIntyre to create Oliver and the Seawigs, the first in a series of funny, highly-illustrated adventure stories which continued with Cakes in Space, Pugs of the Frozen North, Jinks and O′Hare Funfair Repair, and the activity book Pug-A-Doodle-Do. Their latest book set together—Reeve & McIntyre Adventures By Philip Reeve & Sarah McIntyre 3 Books Collection Set for children aged between 7 to 9 years is not to be missed.

Oliver and the Seawigs the first book in the set is a lively, gorgeously illustrated story from dynamic duo, Reeve and McIntyre! Along with his new friends, a grumpy old albatross, a short-sighted mermaid, and a friendly island called Cliff, Oliver goes off in search of his missing parents. But before he can put his rescue plan into action there's the evil Stacey de Lacey and an army of greasy, green sea monkeys to contend with.

Another very cool and creative adventure in the book set; Cakes in Space is all about exploring the journey that is life. Astra's family are all snoring in their sleeping pods, but Astra is WIDE AWAKE. With her friend, Pilbeam, she goes off exploring and soon finds out the ship is in deep trouble. It's been knocked off course and invaded by a gang of Poglites, an alien salvage crew searching for spoons. But even the Poglites need Astra's help when they discover something far more sinister lurking in the canteen. Sure, they're cakes; but no one would describe them as sweet!

And finally there is Pugs of the Frozen North by Philip Reeves which is basically a race to the top of the world. It comes around once in a lifetime, and the prize you ask? Your heart's desire! Shen and Sika can't resist the chance to win, but competition is fierce. The path to victory is littered with snow trolls, sea monsters, and a gang of particularly hungry yetis. But Shen and Sika have something the other contestants don't have. Actually, they have 66 other things; pugs to be precise. This is an adventure your child is going to love.
