Michael Rosen Books 

Michael Rosen is an iconic British poet, author, activist and former Children's Laurette (2007 to 2009). Over his career, he has written some of the most beloved children's books, such as We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Rigatoni the Pasta Cat, Goldilocks and the Three Crocodiles, and so much more. 

Michael Rosen was born in Harrow, England and has based many of his writings on his childhood and upbringing. He has continued working within the field of children's literature throughout most of his career. This also includes teaching children's literature at universities, workshops for school teachers so they can have more resources to teach pupils, and visiting schools and libraries to do readings. Rosen not only started writing at a young age, but he started protesting as a teenager. He stood up for human rights, freedom and against war and racism. 

Poetry 

Michael Rosen has produced some fantastic poetry aimed at children. His poetry is known for being silly and fun as well as poignant and important. A great example of this is a collection of poetry Rosen created, along with illustrator Quentin Blake, called On the Move: Poems About Migration. This beautiful collection conveys some of the heartbreaking and uplifting sides of migrating and what it means to be a refugee.
